Do your once perfectly aligned cupboard doors now no longer line up with each other?  Does one appear to sit lower than the other?  Have they started to rub or stick to each other?

If you answer yes to any of these it is likely that your cupboard or cabinet doors have begun to sag, which happens a lot over time.  Thankfully it is pretty straight forward to fix, simply grab a screwdriver and a friend to hold the door and get to work.

Most cupboard doors sag because the screws that hold them in place have slowly worked free, so fixing it is as simple as lifting the door and having your friend hold it in its correct position.  Then tighten the top screw first and then the bottom one.

You may need to step back and admire your handy work a few times, make a few adjustments, and then you will have perfect doors again.

If this doesn’t fix your problem, stay tuned as we will bring you more ideas next week!

The DIY Bargain Bin has a number of Cabinets, Cabinet Hardware and Shelves available, so don’t forget to check it out first.

I totally love the idea of creating fun and funky shelving!  There are so many ideas that you can do, and over the course of this blog we’ll bring you heaps, but today I want to share with you a bookshelf that is becoming so fashionable! In fact I have a spare bit of wall and may just give this awesome little bookshelf a go.

The only problem is deciding which book I love least to sacrifice? Hmm.

Anyway while I decide, I’ll tell you briefly what you need to create it, and show you where you can watch it being made step by step before your eyes.  Then you can decide if this really is the most simple bookshelf ever?

You will need for this little project, an L bracket, a utility knife, a drill, a Philips head screwdriver, small and large wood screws (flathead), a tape measure, glue and of course, some books! 🙂 Especially that big book that looks good, but that you will NEVER want to read again. Remember you can get each of these things from the DIY Bargain Bin.

So with these things in hand, watch this entertaining light hearted instructional video on YouTube by VideoJug on how to do it at home.  Alternatively, if you prefer standard shelves, and are not quite ready to have all your friends ask you about your crazy new book shelf, remember that the DIY Bargain Bin has lots of different shelf options in the DIY Bargain Bin Cabinets / Cabinet Hardware and Shelf section.
